We wanted to accommodate our clients’ desire for a Mediterranean/tropical theme similar to what would be experienced at a resort in some far off place. Various species of Palms were introduced in addition to Olives, Giant Bird of Paradise, Gardenias, and numerous types of perennials and annuals. The design intent was to create outdoor rooms with interesting vistas. Thus, the spaces were organized using an axial design with subtle transitions between the rooms, heightening the sensory perception of the garden.
